Outbound AI calling

Outbound AI calling campaigns, done responsibly

Upload a list, attach an agent and let Narvin call: appointment reminders, payment reminders, enquiry follow-ups and surveys. Calls run inside the time zone and window you choose, and every outcome is logged.

  3. AI outreach assistant: Are you still considering solar for your home, or have you already had a system installed?

  4. Caller: Still considering. We’re weighing up the cost.

The problem

What outbound calling is best used for

  1. 01

Service calls customers expect: reminders, confirmations and follow-ups on their own enquiries.

  2. 02

Feedback and survey calls after a purchase or appointment.

  3. 03

Re-engaging customers who have agreed to hear from you.

How it works

From set-up to live calls

No code and no new phone system. Most teams are live within a day.

  1. 01

    Upload your list

CSV with phone numbers in international format, names and context.

  2. 02

    Attach an agent

Use the outreach, reminder or survey template and adjust the script.

  3. 03

    Schedule

Choose a time zone, start and end time and how many calls per hour.

  4. 04

    Monitor and act

Watch live calls, pause or end gracefully, and export outcomes.

What it does

What the agent handles for you

  1. 01

    Queue-based dialling

Each contact becomes a job, dialled within your concurrency limit.

  2. 02

    Next-day retries

Optionally retry anyone who did not answer once more the next day, at the same local time.

  3. 03

    Outcome tracking

Completed, no answer, busy, failed and more, per contact.

  4. 04

    Pause, resume, graceful end

Stop new dials and let calls in progress finish politely.

  5. 05

    Live calls view

See every outbound call in progress and end one if needed.

  6. 06

    Post-call webhooks

Send results and captured answers to your CRM.

UK rules for outbound AI calls: a plain-English overview

This is general information, not legal advice. Rules depend on who you call, why and how, so check your approach with your legal adviser or Data Protection Officer before you start a campaign. You are responsible for compliance when you run campaigns on Narvin.

PECR and marketing calls

The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) govern marketing calls in the UK. Live marketing calls must not be made to numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) or Corporate TPS unless the person has specifically told you they are happy to receive your calls. Automated marketing calls that play recorded messages need the person’s prior, specific consent.

An AI agent holding a conversation is a newer situation. The cautious approach is to treat AI marketing calls like automated calls and only call people who have given clear consent to be called by you. Service calls — reminders, confirmations and follow-ups the customer expects — are not marketing, but they must not include promotional content.

Screening against TPS and CTPS

If you make any marketing calls without specific consent, screen your list against TPS and CTPS before each campaign (registrations change daily), and keep your own suppression list of people who have asked you not to call.

Identify yourself and be open about AI

Always present a valid caller ID that people can call back, say who is calling and why at the start, and make it easy to opt out. We recommend saying clearly that the caller is an AI assistant. In the EU, Article 50 of the AI Act requires people to be told when they are interacting with an AI system unless it is obvious.

  • Call within reasonable hours — set a calling window on every campaign
  • Record opt-outs and honour them immediately
  • Keep records of where consent came from and when
  • Tell people if the call is recorded and why

FAQ

Common questions

Straight answers. If yours is not here, email us and a person will reply.

How many calls can run at once?

Outbound calls share your plan’s concurrency: 1 on Free, 3 on Pro and 10 on Growing, or more on a custom plan. The queue dials the next contact as soon as a line is free.

Can campaigns call people in other countries?

Yes. Each campaign has its own time zone — about 20 major zones across the UK, Europe, the US and Asia — so calls happen at the right local time. Check the local rules for every country you call.

Can I use the same number for inbound calls and campaigns?

Yes. A number can answer inbound calls and be used as the caller ID for a campaign. People who call back reach your inbound agent, so make sure it knows about the campaign.
